Also related to the Syro-Palestinian culture is the well-distinguished date-shaped bottle (HKU.M.2022.2619). Mould-blown from transparent yellow-brown glass, the origin of this shape has been documented to the first to second century CE.

This vessel was used to store a liquid, possibly perfume. Its fruit shape is a decorative design also seen in modern snuff bottles.

此外形獨特的棗形瓶(HKU.M.2022.2619)同為與敘羅巴勒斯坦文化相關的器型,以透明褐黃色玻璃及模具輔助吹製而成,其器型歷史可追溯至公元一至二世紀。

 

此瓶曾用於貯存液體,可能曾盛放香水。形似棗果,其裝飾與現代鼻烟壺頗為相似。
